At the Health Ministry’s daily briefing, professor of Infectious Diseases, Sotiris Tsiodras, confirmed that there are 1,673 coronavirus cases in Greece, as 60 more infections have been identified.
The death toll has risen to 68 from 59 that was yesterday. More than 70% of the victims had an underlying health condition or were over 70 years old. A total of 92 patients are currently intubated while another 10 patients have been discharged from the ICUs.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias, stated that, according to the decision of the Ministries of Civil Protection, Health and Interior, the temporary circulation ban will be extended until April 27, in other words, for another three weeks.
