The Most Creepy Alternative Open "Museum" in Greece : The Park of Souls

The most creepy open "museum" in Greece, the Park of Souls in Parnitha.
Inspired by the history of the Parnitha Sanatorium, the sculptor Spyridon Dassiotis chose the space opposite the imposing and full of memories, now abandoned Sanatorium to create, on a non-profit basis, "The Park of Souls". A set of sculptures from burnt tree trunks from the surrounding area of Sanatorium.

The sculptor did not simply carve trunks. He gave "life" to dead tree trunks, thus expressing the feelings held by the inmates of the Sanatorium during the period of their confinement.

Exhibits such as "The pregnant woman", "The cross of martyrdom", "The nostalgia of the mother for the child she left behind", "The couple", "The ear", "The feather", "The reasoning" etc. compose this alternative -if not else- museum.
All this, at 1000 meters above sea level and at 40 minutes from the center of Athens, Greece.
