The pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi

Delphi is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the "holy places" in the world. Delphi is a large archaeological site in Sterea or Central Greece. It is most known as the site of the Oracle in Ancient Greece, attracting pilgrims from all over to seek the prophecy of the god, Apollo. The prophecy was spoken through Pythia, a priestess of his temple. The myth says that Delphi is the center of the Earth. Delphi is at the beginning of the National Park of Parnassos. Delphi is 15 minutes from the sea and 30 minutes from the ski resort.
