It would definitely impress you if you saw the throne from Game of Thrones in a Greek village. The Greek village with this backdrop is the impressive Pavliani. A village that is known for its natural beauty and esthetics anyway. It seems that besides the beauty, it also has many fanatical fans of the epic series.
Pavliani has therefore had its own throne for about two years, which is a very good copy of the throne from the series Game of Thrones. It was an idea of the village youth, who decided to give their village a special and admittedly very original touch. So, in April 2019, the Educational & Cultural Association of Pavliani made this structure, which now stands at an altitude of 1,260 meters.
About 300 kilos of iron, 30 kilos of wood, 250 kilos of iron blades, several kilos of paint and cement were consumed to complete the construction, as well as about 800 hours of labor. The 700 kg construction is enthroned on a high point and can be admired at close range at any time.
For the story of the series, the Iron Throne was created after Aegon the Conqueror ordered his dragon Valerius to melt a thousand swords of his defeated enemies with his hot breath during the War of Conquest.
Pavliani is a fabulous village in Fthiotida. It combines in a special way the nature, the architecture, the hospitality and the proximity to Athens.
