A large shark was recently spotted off the coast of Corfu, and the dramatic encounter was captured on video by two people aboard an inflatable boat.
In the video, a visibly startled fisherman is heard saying:
“Guys, there’s a shark in front of us—right under the boat. It’s huge. I’ve never seen one this close before.”
A woman on board reacts in shock:
“Oh my God… I’m shaking.”
The fisherman tries to calm her down:
“Don’t be scared, it’s far away.”
He then makes noise in an attempt to frighten the shark and encourage it to swim off.
The sighting has stirred curiosity and concern, reminding beachgoers and boaters alike of the surprising marine life that can occasionally appear in Greek waters.
