Erdoğan: The borders of Eskişehir extend to… Thessaloniki, Crimea, Samarkand, and Northern Cyprus

January 27, 2025

Referring to the 31 March municipal elections, the Turkish president said that the AKP has carefully read the message of the elections and is defining its new roadmap

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) on Saturday, focusing his speech on domestic politics and international developments.

The Turkish premier stressed that the city of Eskişehir is a model of alliance and peaceful coexistence. “One border of Eskişehir is Thessaloniki and the other is Crimea. One is Samarkand and the other is Northern Cyprus,” he said.

Referring to the March 31 municipal elections, Erdoğan said the AKP had carefully read the message of the elections and is defining its new road map. “We did not hesitate to make self-criticism… We are focused on building the ‘century of Türkiye,” he noted.
