Introducing NOOS: The First Fully Greek-Made Vehicle to Hit Roads Across the Country

April 24, 2025

A new era is dawning for Greek technology and industry. For the first time in history, a vehicle entirely designed, developed, and manufactured in Greece—by Greek minds and hands—has received official European type approval and is ready to hit the roads, not only across Greece but throughout Europe.

Its name? NOOS. This pioneering electric scooter is far more than a means of transportation. It represents a bold symbol of national technological excellence, industrial revival, and Greece’s dynamic entrance into the future of electric mobility.

A Landmark Achievement for Greek Innovation

NOOS is the flagship product of ECOSHIFT, an innovative initiative launched by the historic Petros Petropoulos Group, a company now strategically investing in sustainable energy and micromobility solutions with a clear focus on Greek production and know-how.

With support from the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility and substantial private investment, the ECOSHIFT project has achieved what once seemed out of reach: the creation of a 100% Greek vehicle that fully meets the EU’s strictest standards. It’s ready to be commercially distributed from Lisbon to Berlin and from Stockholm to Rome.

Fully Approved and Ready for Launch

NOOS is entirely designed and built in Greece by Greek minds and hands! Pictured here is the Ecosift team behind the pioneering initiative of the Petros Petropoulos Group.

NOOS has successfully passed all quality, safety, and environmental compliance tests required for its European type certification. It has also received national approval from Greece’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and is in the final stages of approval for the Cypriot market. For the first time, the Greek automotive industry has a vehicle that acts as an ambassador of homegrown innovation.

And this innovation is proudly Made in Greece—from conception to production. The talented team behind ECOSHIFT is based entirely in the country, embodying the mission to redefine Greek industry with cutting-edge green technology.

Smart, Functional, and Green

Beyond its symbolic significance, NOOS delivers substance and performance. With high-end technological infrastructure, a design focused on ergonomics and practicality, and zero emissions, NOOS perfectly captures the essence of modern, sustainable transportation.

Even better, NOOS has been included in the Indicative List of Eligible Two- and Three-Wheeled Vehicles (L1–L7) for the Greek government’s “Kinoumai Ilektrika 3” program. This means that buyers can benefit from state subsidies, making it more affordable and accessible for the general public.

Just the Beginning

Perhaps most importantly, this success is not the final destination—it’s just the starting point. ECOSHIFT is not a one-off initiative. It’s a long-term strategic effort to build a robust domestic industry focused on green innovation, driven by the experience, vision, and technological depth of the Petros Petropoulos Group.

NOOS isn’t just the first Greek electric vehicle with pan-European approval. It’s living proof that Greece can design, produce, and export high-tech products that meet global standards.

And the most exciting part? This is only the beginning.
