Churches in Greece to be open on Christmas Day and Feast of Theophany

December 12, 2020

The Government Spokesperson, Stelios Petsas, has announced that the churches will be open only on Christmas Day and the Feast of Theophany to the faithful.

Specifically, on these two days, nine believers are allowed in the churches while twenty fice believers are allowed in the metropolitan churches.

The local Metropolises and the Holy Archdiocese of Athens will be responsible for the compliance with the measures.

In addition, the sanctification of waters will not take place in an open public space on the day of the Theophany.
