“The insults of the ancient Greeks”: How did ancient Greeks swear and curse?

In the excellent book “The insults of the ancient Greeks” by Marios Veretta, reference is made about the way the ancient Greeks used to insult one another. It is known that the ancient Greeks were often vulgar.

Here are some of words that the ancient Greeks used when they wanted to humiliate someone:

avrovatis / αβροβάτης: a feminine man, with female gait

gynaikopipis / γυναικοπίπης: voyeur, one who ogles women

eschara / εσχάρα: female genital area, labia

eupigos / εύπυγος: a woman with nice buttocks

kassoris / κασσωρίς: a prostitute 

posthon / ποσθών: a man with a big penis 

myzouris / μύζουρις: a woman who sucks penis 

ekfylos / έκφυλος: dishonoured

kovalos / κόβαλος: parasite

koprios / κόπρειος: worthless
